CSA Estimator- Glasgow 

To £80,000 DOE + Competitive Package 

Our client with a €2billion turnover is a Tier 1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. Undertaking major complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Battery/ Semiconductor Plants, Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects.  

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced CSA Estimator. As CSA Estimator you will be developing accurate and detailed civil, structural, and architectural estimates from project inception to completion including preparing a Bill of Quantities by utilizing 2D drawings or BIM models, determining which approach is most effective for each specific project. 

This role will be offered on flexible/ work from home set up (3 days working from home and 2 days in the office). 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:        

• Lead all the CSA Estimating functions including tender management, post contract negotiation and management of Supplier/ Subcontractor chain.   

• Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work, materials required and project constraints.  

• Develop detailed cost estimates for the project including materials, labour, equipment & subcontractor services.  

• Collaborate in the full tender process from inception to completion.  

• Preparation of bid prospects ready for presentation to project managers.  

• Prepare subcontract quotes and ensure compliance with the project specifications.  

• Participate in meetings both internal and client based and contribute to the best of your knowledge.  

• Identify potential risks & uncertainties in project estimates and develop solutions to eliminate risks.  

• Keep updated on market conditions, trends & pricing for materials & labour. 

• Assist the estimating team in preparing quotations such as undertaking take offs, building up rates, requesting supplier and subcontractor quotations. 

• Degree/qualification in Quantity Surveying or relevant discipline.  

• 5+ years’ post qualification experience in CSA Estimation role with focus on Data Centre projects engaging in projects over €10 million. 

• Dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.  

• Proven knowledge in estimating principles, practices, and technologies.  

• Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.  

• Knowledgeable in estimating software & tools such as Cost X, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
